Sažetak
Entrepreneurship as an ability to innovate plays very important role in transition economies. Enterprises should be active and innovative in order to adapt, survive and develop in the new system and thus contribute to the redeployment of resources from less productive to more productive uses. On the other hand, systemic changes in transition economies are expected to create appropriate conditions which should foster entrepreneurial activity. Therefore, it is very important to analyze entrepreneurship as well as institutions underpinning entrepreneurial activity. We shall consider two very important elements. First, ability of enterprises to innovate and accommodate to the changed conditions and deliver growth. Second, the ability to innovate economic system, or so called systemic entrepreneurship. It means economy’s capability to undergo a new set of institutional changes needed for entrepreneurial driven growth. In this paper we shall analyze experience of Southeast European transition economies.
