Sažetak
The paper has arisen from compiling material for my doctoral thesis. The jeopardized position of small enterprises and their effort to seek help by means of performance measurement system was the impulse for its elaboration. After a brief introduction of currently most popular performance measurement model drawn up by Kaplan and Norton - BalancedScorecard (BSC) in the context with enterprise strategic activities, the paper focuses on the BSC confrontation with other selected methods of performance measurement (e.g. total quality management, activity based costing, tableu de bord, intangible assets monitor). In the following part a survey of most criticized weak points of the balancedscorecard method is given. From the comparison of chosen models a regularity follows suggesting that with a changing entrepreneurial environment the models and frameworks of performance measurement systems will be continually developed.
