Sažetak
B&H has been achieving the great foreign trade deficits or deficits on current account balance since the very beginning of its establishment as a state. Although it is impossible to exactly state the amount of actual foreign trade deficit per capita into B&H, it can be said with a large safety that it is the highest foreign trade deficit per capita in Europe. Economic theory explains numerous negative economic consequences that foreign trade deficit causes: decrement of national income, unemployment increment, capital flight, many other social and political problems, and so on. That B&H foreign trade deficit has been covered by donations and foreign indebtedness in the past. But, because it is real to predict that the donations will be stopped in near future and foreign indebtedness has limits, B&H government will have to take some economic measures for current account balance of payments overcoming. Subject of this paper is analyses of possibilities of current account balance disequilibrium overcoming in B&H with regard to numerous limits (e.g. currency board system limitations, hard-budget policy, import dependence, IMF request) and B&H efforts for entrance into wider international economic integrations (e.g. CEFTA or EU).
