Sažetak

In May 2002 Russia has been declared a market economy, which is a sign of successful transition. The announcement leads to further integration of the country into the world’s economy. Joining the WTO is highly debatable issue for the Russian business, political and academic elite. The economic growth in Russia since the default in August 1998 is based not only on high prices on oil, aluminum and other traditional products of Russian export. An important factor is also the customer demand, which growth faster than GDP, and labor productivity.
