Sažetak
Entrepreneurship cannot be developed and cannot progress without adequate economic, legal and financial environment. Exports represent an imperative for SMEs which want to compete on global market and it is one of the sources of their growth and development. It is well known that open, market economies are favorable for the development of entrepreneurship. In so doing it is necessary to create such policies and measures that will not be overprotective for enterprises or certain industries and decrease its motivation for development, growth and innovation. This paper analyses new government roles, changes in the industrial policy and possible trade strategies. Also, the analysis of the entrepreneurship incentives in Croatia and selected countries is conducted and possible suggestions for the improvement of the incentive system in Croatia are given.
