The paper will determine the impact of balance categories flow on the business successfulness in the economy through the accounting analysis and for more effective managing of economic trends in Croatia. Such analysis might have a great significance since the cognition arising from the analysis affect making and directing of strategic decisions. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the value of balance trends in absolute and relative scopes. The methodological concept of the influence of balance categories' flows on the trends of successfulness is developed in the first part of the paper and then follows the analysis of Croatian economy together with the proposal for its improvement.
