The implementation of the concept of corporate social responsibility within the tourism industry is necessary to the industry's future because it will help ensure welcoming and attractive destinations. The experience of many tourism companies all over the world show that the implementation of the concept of corporate social responsibility into the business practice brings numerous private and social benefits. The aim of the paper was to analyse the importance of the concept of corporate social responsibility for selected tourism companies in the Istrian County, which is considered as one of the most developed tourism counties of Croatia.
