Sažetak
JADRAN-GALENSKI LABORATORIJ (JGL) has developed from a central laboratory for manufacturing and controlling magistral and galenic preparations for the "JADRAN" Rijeka pharmacy. In 1991 it was founded as the first and only privately held pharmaceutical joint-stock company in Croatia and the region. From 1991 to the present day, JGL has become an international company with a wide range of branded generics, focused on developing and manufacturing drugs for the senses, and it has become a leader in using the benefits of seawater for health reasons. The company has more than 400 products divided into three programme groups in its portfolio: prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs and cosmetics, as well as a separate group of health products based on seawater. Systematic investments into employee knowledge and new product development, in addition to a close relationship with our customers and investments into modern technology have made JGL as one of the fastest growing and most stable Croatian companies. 60% of all employees have a university degree and their average age is 35, which creates a highly dynamic, modern and entrepreneurial company environment. The basic values advocated by JGL are: team work, excellence and closeness. Team work - we cooperate on all company levels to reach the same goal. We share information and resources, communicate in an open, direct and honest manner, withmutual respect, and we build long-term partnership relationships. Today, JGL proudly ranks third within the national pharmaceutical industry, with 474 employees and revenue amounting to around HRK 500 million in 2010. In company ratings within the Croatian economy, JGL has been among the 500 most successful companies in Croatia for four consecutive years.
