In this paper, the author shows the interaction between the tourism demand and the Croatian religious and cultural values as a possible new trend in the present social, cultural and economic circumstances in the world. Author speaks about the new forms of global solidarity that religion and culture brings or might bring. There is awareness that visitors are not coming in Croatia because of the cultural values. How to change that? Is it possible? This paper aims to propose for it a model which combines the previous similar experiences in the Croatian and European context. Author has concluded that the cultural value of the religious substances with the other facilities tha Croatia can offer, as an attractive destination, has enormous effects on the selecting process between destinations. In analyzing the possible negative and positive effects of described direction the author is in favour of a redefinition of tourism thinking and strategy in order to prolong the main season. In this context, it was necessary to put forward theses which can be conceived as a coordinates in the future.
