The computerisation lag between Croatia and more developed countries is quite evident. to emerge this state computerisation plans for the whole state were developed. An important segment is higher (college) education institutions. This article is a contribution for solutions. The authors are supporting an idea that every student entering the college should obtain a portable computer which is called the intelligent academic briefcase.
