The paper attempt to contribute to critical analyses of management and leadership, in Croatia national economy, when the subject is a woman. The leadership is one of the main functions of management, but being a leader means to posses even special traits besides demanding knowledge and skills of a manager. Leadership models have evolved over time. The survey results, carried out on 119 women managers in the Republic of Croatia regarding to the leadership style, throw typology, according to the gender suggest the presence of characteristics of the masculine and feminine leadership style. According to the theoretical theory of the leadership styles, they direct discussion to point that the leadership style was comprehend as an individual and practical method.
